Being Recognised For Your Blog: Weird

This happened to me at my favourite bar on Friday night. A guy who emailed me about the room going at my flat (oh yes, Thorndon, $150 per week, choice old house) was standing next to me at the bar and introduced himself. This would be creepy had a guy in Houston not followed me from the street into a club and hung around for a while and then accosted me as I left.

ANIIIIIIIII! ANIII MOLLERRRRRRRRRRR!

That’s what they say.

I like when I get recognized, not for me, but for the band whose t-shirt I’m wearing.

“YEAH AC/DC, KICK ASS!” they’ll say as they throw me the horns. Or, “SOCIAL DISTORTION, NICE!”

Rock on, strangers who like the same music as me, rock on.

I saw a good movie recently, and was struck by the thought that the lead actress looked like a latin Ani Moller. I mean really looked like, not just a passing resemblance. The actress: Catalina Sandino Moreno. The movie: Maria Full of Grace.
I have never met Ani Moller in my life. How’s that for over-the-web creepiness?

Watch the movie – she does in that movie! Maybe not so much in other films or photos.

Yeah, that’s why I didn’t say hello when I saw you at the last atomic… what with not knowing you and all…
