I Love My New iPod
I got a new 30GB video iPod for my birthday. It’s fucking awesome. Thanks P!
I know it was my birthday in January, but now that I’m back in Wellington, I have been using my iPod almost every day. It has taken this long to fully appreciate the awesomeness that is my new shiny white gadget. It plays music! It plays video! It has all my photos from 2006 on it! It has all my contacts! It has my calendar! It has notes on it! And most of all, it makes me look like a rich git when I take it out on the street because they are almost $600 – the price I paid for my first car.
I have my iPod in a nice dock attached to my “docking station” for my iBook. I have nice semi-in-ear Sony earbuds that are the first earbuds to ever not fall out of my little ear holes, which also come in a little wind up case to slip into my bag. I’m also surprised at the battery life. It’s much better than my old second generation iPod, which only had 10GB of space and a single-colour screen.
I listen to music on my way into town, and at my random temp jobs. I listen to it when I’m in the car. Sometimes when I’m at a café, I might watch the best music video ever or Aeon Flux cartoons. It is the best thing ever.
On a side note: I’ve been listening to some new music which I recommend. Teddy Thompson (English guy) and Bernard Fanning (Australian guy) are nice acousticy alt-country. Morningwood is awesome pop-rocktastic that I am addicted to. And my friend David Loop who has made a bunch of nice mixes. I don’t have the links but hopefully he will post them here for me!

let’s go!
Hooray for Aeon Flux I say! I got the DVD box a couple of weeks ago and love it just as much as I did when I first saw it on Liquid Television. I hope they also put out The Maxx at some point. I ordered the AF soundtrack too … aeons ago… I may have to ask the dealer about it. How did you like the movie?
